Our whirlwind tour of Italy has ended. We are thoroughly exhausted and happy (except to be coming back to Kyiv). Below are some of the of pictures I took in Krakow. I saved them to my USB stick before turning the photos and can not get them to turn now. Sorry about that. On Sunday the 22nd we walked around Krakow, took a tram to the Jewish district, and ate good food before going back to the airport for Rome. It was bitter cold the first weekend we were in Krakow. It was much nicer when we returned on the 27th. On the 28th we wandered around more, went to the castle and walked around the grounds, and shopped at the market. We bought amber jewelry at a shop in the Jewish district on the 22nd and bought more at the market on the 28th.
On the 28th, while at the castle, we saw swans on the river. Suzanne and I went down to see them; there were apx. 100 of them. It was great to see.
The hotel we stayed at was very nice and had an excellent breakfast.
