Below is another view of the Pantheon. Later I will post pictures of the interior.
It was built as a temple of "all the gods". The tomb of Raphael is in the Pantheon. It is 142 feet in diameter and height. The dome is supported by walls that are 19 feet thick. The hole at the top provides the only light. It was designed with draining so that rain water would immediately drain away. It was designed by the emperor Hadrian.

We had supper at Barb's which was wonderful as usual. She likes to cook and we like to eat her cooking!
