These are two of the ladies that served us. They are by the oven that the food was cooked in. We were at two long tables in an L set up in the same room.

We ate with wooden utensils.

These were a cross between a biscuit and a dumpling. They were garlic flavored and were eaten with the borscht.

I forgot to take pictures of the food before we ate it. The lack of stew in the serving bowl is proof of the excellence of it! All the food is made in a wood fired oven; even the borscht.
It was fabulous food. We had basil flavored vodka, homemade wine, and homemade juice with the meal.

Potato pancakes.

These are pirogi. They are filled with a sweet cheese and you put sour cream on them. Very good.

This house would have belonged to a family that wasn't 'wealthy.' This is the house we had our meal in. The entertainment was in the other house which was bigger. Only a wealthy family could have afforded a bigger house.
