Egypt was fabulous!!! We packed a lot into our week there. Snorkeling, hot stone massage, Cairo, Luxor, a pedicure, and Petra.
I will go thru my pictures and sort out ones to post.

I have bronchitis once again and get to stay home the rest of the week; doctor's orders.
I need to be well and rested for our trip to Egypt on Saturday!!!

When home for X-mas break I spent a small fortune on Noro-Iro yarn for this sweater. It is the first garment I have tried knitting. This sweater is knit from the top down. So far I am finding it to be a very easy pattern. The body is knit; then the sleeves; then the collar; last the front placket. I LOVE this yarn.

I received these fabulous cordial glasses from Tami and Barry for X-mas!!! I love them!!!

Bead shopping, then sushi for lunch.

Here are two roosters I have made out of painted papers. The one facing right is on a book cover. I cut the covers off of a book that was going into recycle. I covered them with painted papers and will sew them with new pages for a journal. The other rooster I think I will hang in my kitchen.

I made a quilted cover for my Kindle.

I have changed the title of my blog. I'm also going to work on posting about my art and other projects.
I've finally started working on stuff of my own again. I've been too exhausted and burnt out to do my own work.
Right now I am sick and have been looking at other blog sites. That has also had a influence on me changing my blog name and making me motivated to post more.
As soon as I feel like getting out of bed I will photograph and post pictures of my latest projects.

Today 7 of us went to fancy new mall, along the lines of Mall of America, to check out a bead shop. It was great!!! And cheap compared to the US. Afterwards we ate sushi. It was fun!!! We are going to get together at a later date to make jewelry.

We paid our deposits for our trip to Egypt the last week in February!!! I'm excited! It will be nice just to walk on the beach. I will make a trip to Cairo to see the pyramids. Isobel and I are going to share a room. There about 15 people going from the school.

I haven't written anything for a long time cuz nothing new is happening. BUT...

Tomorrow a travel agent is coming to school to get our down payments for our trip to Egypt. It will cost apx. $650 USD all inclusive (flight, hotel, food, beverages) for 7 days. We will be in some city just outside of Cairo and our hotel will be on the sea. We will take a trip to go see the pyramids.
