Late yesterday afternoon it started to cool and this morning the fog is gone!!!!!!!! Still no sun, tho. I know you aren't having fun with the cold you are having but you get to see the sun! This morning someone told me we won't see sun til the end of March. AAARRRGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Supper Wednesday night, at my place, was nice. We were all very tired but had a good time. We talked about our trips to London and Rome.

We have planned our trip to Rome and made our hotel reservations for the week. We will also be going to Florence and Orvietto.
Friday night Sam and I went out and about. We ate at T.G.I. Fridays. It was wonderful to eat a hamburger and fries! We shopped at the underground mall for bags for our London trip. I bought a backpack. I can pretend to be backpacking across Europe when I use it. I showed Sam where the English bookstore is and we bought a travel book on Rome.
Saturday morning Isobel, Barb and I hired a driver to take us to the Embassy so we could buy American food at the commissary. What a truely wonderful thing American food is!
In the afternoon we went downtown to meet up with Suzanne and Sam. We went for coffee and then walked around exploring. We went to the French bakery for bread. We passed lots of designer shops on the way and Suzanne and I swooned over some of the womens clothing and accessories in the windows. We also laughed at some the clothing; who the hell would wear something so ugly?! We decided we have too much taste to be rich.
We walked up to the House of Krimea and I got more pictures. I will post them on Monday.
We went to dinner at our favorite place for salmon. It is poached in foil with a mix of vegetables. It is fabulous!!! The hostess now knows us and automatically directs us to our favorite table. We had lots of fun and laughed till we cried. (Ukrainians look at you funny when you enjoy yourself.)
Today our Stitch and Bitch group is getting together at the Pera-Coles.
Wednesday evening I am having dinner at my place for our group.

I awoke to freezing drizzle this morning. What a fun "slide" into work; it was hard to "walk" to work!
We had supper at Barb's last night and meet her daughter, Andrea. She is very nice. We ordered in pizza; it was closest to the kind of pizza we get in American that we have had yet. Andrea stopped at the French bakery and bought Tiramisu, a dessert that was fabulous! Sam brought brownies he made. We had great laughs!
Sam has made our hotel reservations for Rome.
I haven't taken photos lately cuz it is dark by five.
This evening I am getting internet at home. Hopefully there are no problems and I will be able to get online this evening.

The sun is shining today which is wonderful to see. I had a relaxing weekend. I bought a CD player so I can have music at home; I bought a cell phone to use over here and I bought an amaryllis. I slept alot. Saturday night Suzanne had a party at her place; it was fun. People brought lots of good food. Saturday morning Suzanne and I went to Mega Market to get groceries and took a taxi home.
My group has booked flights to Rome for the last week of February, which we have off. We haven't yet decided what other cities we will go see.

It started raining during the night. It will be a nightmare on ice once it freezes again. I may have to buy ice skates...
Barb had dinner at her place last night and it was very nice to get togetherwith our group.
Hi, everyone. It was wonderful to be home for winter break. It is very hard to be back here.
Coming back I was delyaed in Boston for an extra 3-4 hours; got to Paris late, couldn't make my connecting flight. I was then sent all over the airport because no one would give me the right information about getting to my new flight. I was in tears! When I finally got to Kyiv my luggage wasn't on the plane. Apx. 30 people didn't get their luggage so it took me 2 hours to file a claim for my luggage and then I had to take a taxi home. My luggage was delivered to the school on Sautrday afternoon and I got it Sunday evening. Everything was there; I was afraid things might have been stolen.
My classroom didn't have heat on Monday and Tuesday. The radiators were finally fixed but it is not warming up in my room! I am wearing two shirts, two sweaters and my hat and gloves!
Last night there was no water when I came home from work. It came back on about 8 p.m.
